Teacher Training on Technology Supported Course-Lesson Planning 

Participants

60 selected participants will engage in the full programme.

Some volunteer participants will also take part in additional dissemination events.

Mandatory Online Events

1. Kick-off Webinar

  • Date: 17 October 2025 (evening)

  • Format: Country-wide online webinar

  • Focus: Project road map + TeachingEnglish tools showcase

2. Five-Week Online Training (Evenings via Zoom + WhatsApp follow-up)

  • Format: Weekly materials shared in advance → synchronous reflection session → asynchronous WhatsApp discussions

  • Content focus: Lesson & course planning + integration of technology & 21st-century skills

  • Schedule:

1. Week 1: 24 Oct 2025 – Lesson & course planning skills

2. Week 2: 31 Oct 2025 – Lesson & course planning skills

3. Week 3: 7 Nov 2025 – Lesson & course planning skills + technology & 21st-century skills

4. Week 4: 14 Nov 2025 – Lesson & course planning skills + technology & 21st-century skills

5. Week 5: 21 Nov 2025 – Lesson & course planning skills + technology & 21st-century skills

  • Output: Start of collaborative writing for an open-access handbook on smart lesson planning and 21st-century skills

 

3. Academic Publishing & Writing Workshops (Online, evening)

  • 09 January 2026

  • 13 February 2026

  • 13 March 2026

  • Focus: Working on the open-access handbook on smart lesson planning and 21st-century skills, revising & adapting TeachingEnglish materials and model lesson plans

4. Project Closing Celebration​​

  • Date: 19 June 2026

  • Format: Online celebration & competition, open to English teaching professionals & stakeholders

  • Purpose: Showcase achievements, mark the formal project end

Face-to-Face Events (Voluntary / Random Selection if No Volunteers)

1. National Showcase Event

  • Date: 26 December 2025

  • Location: Bursa

  • Participants: 30 representatives (10 participants will be selected from each regional CoP in the project. Please note that if there are no volunteers, the selection may be made randomly, so you might be chosen.)

  • Format: Open to English teaching professionals & stakeholders

  • Content: Sub-theme presentations, classroom examples, lesson-planning priorities, panels, interactive exhibits, networking

  • Output: Insights feeding into the final handbook

2. Regional Training Days (April–May 2026)

  • Dates & Locations: To be confirmed (1 event per region, 3 in total)

  • Host: To be selected among the volunteer participants (Please note that if there are no volunteers, the selection may be made randomly, so you might be chosen for this task.)

  • Participants: Volunteer participants

  • Format: Open to English teaching professionals & stakeholders

  • Purpose: Disseminate the handbook to more teachers in regional CoPs

 

Please note that all expenses for the face-to-face events (organization, travel, accommodation, and food) will be fully covered by the project. Additionally, there may be extra online meetings scheduled if required during the process.
